Sit chylde. It’s time you’ve learned an important lesson.

There are very few who stand as our rivals in these nights, for the Ventrue clan has always been the strongest of the clans. However, I would warn you of the Daeva.

The Daeva are such beautiful creatures are they not, childe? Watch them dance and weave their spells, their bodies sinuous and their faces smiling. Like a snake, a viper. Because that’s precisely what they are, childe. Vipers, entire nests of them. Every Daeva you ever meet will be as conniving as a fox and as dangerous as a rattlesnake. There are no foolproof ways to guard yourself from these monsters, but here are some suggestions.

+ Be of stalwart composure. The Daeva rely on their ability to manipulate your emotions, stand fast against any feelings of tenderness towards them for they are likely false.

+ If you doubt your composure, do not find yourself alone with a Daeva. They are less likely to exert their emotions on you in a crowd.

+ If by some folly you do end up alone with them, be careful of what you may agree to in their presence. Guard your words carefully.

+ Pay careful attention to the wording the Daeva use when asking favors of you, it’s quite likely that they wish more than you’d originally think.

+ Also note that Daeva don’t always lie by telling lies, merely by not telling the truth.

There. I doubt that’s enough to protect you from the Succubi, but it’s a start. Go and be well childe.

Clan Daeva
Emotional and sensual, the Daeva cultivate both desire among their prey and physical perfection among themselves. Sexual predators and sensual hedonists alike populate the ranks of the clan. Succubus sires look for some combination of charm, culture, seductiveness, desire to achieve, passion and physical beauty. Many Daeva Embrace mortals to whom they have become attached, but this attachment almost invariably proves false, a mixture of lust and simple hunger. Few relationships are as euphoric as those between a Daeva and a newly Embraced childe, and few grow cold as swiftly.

Nickname: Succubi

Clan Disciplines: Daeva are masters of Majesty, the vampiric Discipline of lust and want. Their blood also favors the inhuman grace and power of the Disciplines of Celerity and Vigor.

Favored Attributes: Dexterity or Manipulation

Weakness: The Daeva’s cursed blood enslaves them to darker passions.
